Young dancers delight in Wisbech
Talented youngsters have been delighting audiences with a historical themed dance show.
Up to 80 dancers, aged from three upwards, have enjoyed performing in the Dance at the Museum Show, organised by L J Dance Academy.
Nearly 200 people went along to Wisbech’s Thomas Clarkson Academy to watch the performances, devised by Laura-Jayne Shippey.
Miss Shippey choreographed routines which included ballet, street dance and musical theatre.
The First World War and the Egyptians were some of themes included in the dance show.
Wisbech Museum also loaned the L J Dance Academy a few artefacts to use in the final performances.
Miss Shippey said: “The shows went really well and the children enjoyed stepping out of the picture frames.
“It has been fun to put together and I was inspired by different pictures. The children were also able to learn about different eras.”
