Fenland RC athlete Kett completes all 10 Grand East Anglia Runs
Farmers and gardeners were no doubt relishing the rain on Sunday but for the 1,882 runners at the 10K Bespak Great East Anglia Run in King’s Lynn it made for the worst possible starting conditions.
The weather improved greatly during the race and despite the wet start, 47 Fenland Running Club members relished the event with six breaking the 40-minute barrier and 17 achieving new PBs.
Highest achieving FRC member was Ian Milburn who continued his domination of the MV70 category by taking his fourth consecutive MV70 win this year. Despite struggling against recent injury, Brian Kett was determined to complete his 10th consecutive GEAR race and was one of only 16 runners taking part who had done so.
