March Town win tomorrow could seal play-off place

Victory for March Town tomorrow could see them seal a United Counties League Premier South promotion play-off place for the second consecutive season.

Should The Hares win at home against 13th-place Leicester Nirvana and other results go their way, then Ash Taylor’s men will guarantee a top-five place.

March are currently fourth in the table, with Rugby Borough a point ahead in third, which means, as things stand, they would travel to Warwickshire in the play-off semi-final.

However, if March were to leapfrog Rugby in their final four games, they would entertain Rugby in the semi-finals. THird-place Aylestone Park are almost certain to host the other semi-final, with several clubs vying to finish fifth and be their visitors.

Wisbech Town are without a game tomorrow which will allow the teams below them to level with them on 35 games played in the 38-game season. The Fenmen are currently seven points from the drop zone with three games remaining.

In the Thurlow Nunn First Division North, ninth-place Parson Drove travel to play already-relegated Swaffham Town, who have lost their last 11 games. Drove drew 0-0 at Pinchbeck United on Tuesday.

Whittlessey Athletic, who are in eleventh place, entertain seventh-place Gorleston Reserves, looking to win for a fourth consecutive match.
