Marshall wins in qualifier




Willie Marshall has booked his place at next year’s two-day Shield Final taking place 20th and 21st March after winning the Buttonhole Lake qualifier.

Marshall achieved a great feat of 67lb 12oz from peg four as he moves onto next year’s main event where £1,000 is up for grabs for the winner.

Also making it through to next year’s finals is Wayne Bryan who took 39lb to the weights as maggot seemed to have done the trick
for Bryan.

The next qualifier for this tournament is Saturday 14th November.

Also, day ticket anglers will be welcome at Buttonhole on Friday with a two for one offer if you say that you read about it in the Fenland Citizen newspaper.

There is also set to be an open match this Saturday 31st November which is a £20 entry.
