Adam Millson departs Wisbech Town FC for Evo-stik League rivals Cleethorpes
Midfield stalwart Adam Millson has departed Wisbech Town FC.
Having made 346 appearances for the Fenmen since 2011, Millson has joined league rivals Cleethorpes Town.
Millson dates back to the Steve Appleby days and as the club adjusts to life in the re-arranged Evo-stik League South/East Division under their new manager Seb Hayes, the former Boston United player has left the club.
‘Clee’ stated: “We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Adam Millson! Adam is a strong running midfielder who has been at Boston United and latterly Wisbech Town.”
Pre-season training started last week at the Elgood’s Fenland Stadium.
Fans had the chance on Tuesday to meet the Fenmen’s new management team and see the players put through their paces.
Wisbech in their first friendly host Peterborough Sports on July 13.
Meanwhile, March Town FC have confirmed that skipper Max Mattless, plus the majority of last season’s squad, have agreed to re-sign for the coming campaign.
Toby Allen, Craig Gillies, Jack Friend, Flo Tsaguim, Simon Dalton, Drew Barker, Adam Rothery, Gav Cooke, David Jackson, Casey Logan, Jack Rawson, Jamie Short, Lewis Gibson and Charlie Pocklington are also staying at the GER for the 2019/20 Thurlow Nunn League Division One North season.
The Hares open their pre-season fixtures on Saturday at Long Sutton Athletic, kick-off 2pm.
