Win and a defeat for March Ladies in double header

After a four month lay off, March Town Ladies returned to S Tech Premier League action with two 60 minute matches against Ketton Ladies.

Playing at Estover Park, they lost the first game 1-0 and then won by the same scoreline.

In the opening game, Hares’ Yazmin Holmes and Kelsey Ramm went close with long shots and Olivia Holden made a really strong debut.

Ketton claimed the three points with a scrambled effort from a late corner.

In the second game, Holmes and Naomi McGarvie were unable to convert from close range and keeper Tori Sharpe saved well from a free kick. As players tired, the Hares claimed the three points on 40 minutes, when an excellent Emma Searle ball found the impressive Abby Grist, who hit a true shot past the oncoming keeper.
