North Cambs bowls club reach three finals at National EBF & EWBF outdoor championships at Skegness




North Cambs competed in the National EBF & EWBF outdoor championships at Skegness following their Newton Trophy win – and reached three finals.

And the club were supported by county presidents Joseph Gowler and Margaret Hunt and many spectators from other local bowls clubs.

In the Ladies U25 singles, Bobbie Wabe was reached the final – while the men's 4 wood singles showpiece was reached by Max Harrison.

He was also in the team, alongside Matt Warnes and Jack Wells, who reached the men’s 3 wood triples final. Unfortunately, none of them were able to triumph.

Bobbie Wabe had won 21-10 against Northumberland, 21-12 against Notts, 21-5 in her semi-final, before losing her final 17-21 to Hunts.

In the Men's 4 wood singles, Harrison won 21-11 against Hunts, 21-17 versus Notts, and 21-16 against Notts, before losing 12-21 to Derbyshire.

Harrison, Warnes and Wells won 22-13 against Cleveland, and 20-17 in their semi-final, but in their final lost 8-16 to Lincs.

Open U25 Pairs: Charlie Robinson and Sam Robinson lost 8-23 vs Notts

Men's C of C: Tony Reed won 21-13 vs Humberside, lost 13-21 vs Lincs

Men's Pairs: Tom Swannell and Ed Elmore won 19-10 vs North Essex, lost 9-21 vs Humberside

Men U25 Singles: Jake Gowler lost 13-21 vs Northants

Men's Secretaries: Eddie Robinson won 21-20 vs Norfolk, lost 12-21 vs Lincs
