Three Counties Running Club battled the elements at the Fen10 event

Horrendous weather conditions failed to put a dampener on Three Counties Running club members last weekend when they tackled the Fen10.

The Rhodia Fen10 is a flat 10-mile open road race hosted by Fenland Running Club.

It is known for offering good opportunuties to achieve some personal best times.

The route starts at Marshland High School before heading out onto flat Fenland roads.

It was a cold start to the morning, with the wind picking up and the heavens opening just in time for the runners to hit the start line.

Everyone taking part faced some really tough conditions, with continuous headwinds and rain on the very open course.

In fact, there would have been no escaping the bad weather unless runners had decided to stay in bed.

Three Counties Running Club had a fantastic turn out of 28 runners in the event.

Some members were also on hand to support by volunteering at the event.

Daniel Barnes was fastest for TCRC, finishing 32nd out of 296 participants in a time of 1:09:42.
