Jaroslaw Chrzanowski completed a fine maximum including a victory over Wayne Mason, whilst Dan Fielding also scored a maximum. For Trojans, a difficult night for Wayne Mason saw him score a lone victory over Louis Roper-Gibbs, who replied with victories over David Lemmon and Steve Mason.

Exiles needed a good result in their quest to avoid the bottom of the table, but found man of the match Jack Mason in fine form for Pegg Scaffolding. However, Don Dixon replied with two wins as the game finished at 6-4 to Pegg.

Nets & Edges also needed a good result to help their league position. Adrian Alvarez-Domingo played particularly well with victories over Richard Mussett and Owen Turner, and a Steve Goodale win kept the pressure on.

However, no one could stop Keith Phillips from completing his maximum for opponents Eagles, who earned a 7-3 victory.

In the First Division, Stingers won the title by three points with a 10-0 mauling of bottom side 5 Stars B.

David Patrick, Paul Reed and Chris Gay forced maximums, before Paul and David also won the doubles.

5 Stars A were thankful to man of the match Paul Gay’s maximum against Wanderers. Aided by Barry Reed and Tony Trayford, they edged through as 6-4 winners.

Wanderers kept it close, with Steve Kent (2) and Mike Smith (1) earning points.

A two-man Batmen team still managed a convincing win over Ramblers as man of the match Mark Littlechild and Jeff Chung ran riot - both with maximums and wins in the doubles.

Mark Spinks made Jeff work for his result, with a close five-end game. The final result was 7-3 to Batmen.

Warlords did all they could to keep their title hopes alive with a 10-0 win over Spartans. Man of the match Peter Munch, Guntars Briedis and Kevin Buck all with maximums, before Guntars and Kevin won the doubles.

Unfortunately, it was only enough for second place.
