Mlynek takes Tae Kwon-Do girls’ bronze in Birmingham
The Mark Farnham Schools of Tae Kwon-Do shone at the TI World Championships.
This event was held over the weekend of July 21 and 22 at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham.
After months of heavy preparation 27 students from the Mark Farnham Schools of Tae Kwon-Do took part in this tournament – with pattern, sparring, destruction, power test pad and team sparring events on offer.
The Mark Farnham Schools gained 20 awards at the event, eight world champions, and a huge haul of medals, including the students below.
Wisbech: Charlotte Beck girls’ green belt sparring 1st; Alexandra Mlynek girls’ yellow belt Sparring 3rd.
Long Sutton: Andrew Mason men’s red belt sparring 1st.
Andrew Mason (Long Sutton) has unbelievably won the men’s world title despite being 56 years old, in a division which has competitors from 18 years plus – a truly remarkable performance.
